G0400 – Intermediate Incident Command System Course

Target Audience
Course made available by the Kansas Division of Emergency Management
The target audience for this course includes experienced senior emergency management personnel who may perform in a management capacity for major or complex incidents. This group includes individuals who are who may serve as the Incident Commanders, as a member of a Unified Command, or as members of the Command or General Staff, or Multiagency Coordination Group/Emergency Operations Center (EOC) management for incidents that may use an Area Command
This course is limited to individuals who serve in Command or General Staff functions during complex incidents. Applications are subject to approval by their local Emergency Manager or Senior Official.
Prerequisites
- IS-100 – Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS)
- IS-200 – Basi Incident Command System for Initial Response
- IS-700 – An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
- IS-800 – An Introduction to the National Response Framework (NFR)
- GO200 – Immediate Incident Command System Course (classroom course)
All independent Study (IS) courses are available online (free of charge) at the FEMA Independent Study website.
REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
Participants must upload all prerequisite certificates to their KS-TRAIN transcript before their registration is approved. Your registration on KS-TRAIN is important so the program can add this session to your learning transcript, and to issue a training certificate for your future reference.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 8, 2025 – REGISTRATION IS MADNATORY
Non-registered individuals will not be allowed to attend the training.
Successful participants are required to score a minimum of 75% grade on a timed closed book examination. Course materials will be sent to participants electronically in advance of the class for use on your personal device. A limited quantity of printed student manuals will be available on site.
