Continuing Education

This is an intense 34-hour course held in the CJIS computer lab located at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy in Salina. The course is structured for communications personnel; however, criminal justice administrative staff are also welcome to attend.  Class schedule: Monday from 1000 to 1700; Tuesday through Thursday from 0800 to 1700; and Friday from 0800-1300. Requirements: Full access NCIC certification is required prior to class. We recommend attendees have, at a minimum, a month of Criminal Justice Experience.

Physical Requirements: This course is primarily in a classroom setting with no physical requirements.

Cost: This course has no course fee.

Accommodations: Lodging and meals are available at the Kansas Highway Training Academy for $302.18 starting with lunch on Monday.  Or lunch only option for $75.30 for the five days.
