My car is not running, can you come to my house to do the inspection?

No. You will need to make arrangements to have your vehicle towed or trailered to the nearest VIN inspection station.  House calls are conducted on rare occasions at the convenience of the Kansas Highway Patrol and require a supervisor's approval.

Does an inspection form expire?

Yes. The form you receive at the time of inspection expires 120 days after the date the inspection takes place.

After you have received a completed MVE/VIN inspection form (MVE-1) your next step in the registration or titling process is conducted at your local Department of Motor Vehicles office.

What forms of payment do you accept?

What do I need to bring for the inspection?

Basic required items are: Vehicle needing inspection Original signed title Documents associated with the vehicle purchase A form of Government issued id All other paperwork, Possessory Liens, Mechanic Liens, Quiet Titles, Bill of Sale, etc. need to be originals with no erasures, white-outs or alterations.
