KHP 2026-01: KHP’s Newest Troopers Graduate from Training Academy

Two new classes of Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers graduated from the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy on Tuesday, December 16, in Salina, Kansas. Basic Trooper Trainee Class #73 graduated ten (10) new troopers and Condensed Trooper Trainee Class #74 graduated three (3) new troopers. The condensed class includes individuals with previous law enforcement experience.

Class #73 began 24 weeks of training on Tuesday, July 8, at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy. Class #74 began 13 weeks of training on Tuesday, August 5, at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy. Members of Class #74 concluded their training at the academy on October 31 and entered the field training phase. They returned to the KHP Training Academy to graduate. Troopers from Class #73 will now enter the field training phase.

New Troopers will be stationed in the following counties:

Troop B: Atchison County – 1 Trooper
Jefferson County – 1 Trooper
Shawnee County – 1 Troopers

Troop C: McPherson County – 1 Trooper
Riley County – 1 Trooper
Saline County – 1 Trooper

Troop F: Cowley County – 1 Trooper
Rice County – 1 Troopers

Troop G: Shawnee County – 1 Trooper

Troop H: Crawford County – 2 Trooper
Neosho County – 1 Troopers

Troop K: Shawnee County – 1 Trooper
