Public Safety Programs
Each field troop is assigned a Public Resource Officer (PRO). These officers are available to present safety classes to both children and adults. PROs are also certified child passenger safety technicians and maintain child safety seat fitting stations in their troop. Special equipment such as Rollover demonstrators and seatbelt convincers are often used to help educate the public about the benefits of buckling up.

Description
Upon successful completion of the AAA Driver Improvement Program, students will have a fresh awareness of driver safety with an emphasis in managing visibility, time, and space.
Each student receives a student guidebook designed for use with AAA’s Driver Improvement Program. Each chapter of the guide corresponds with the modules as they appear throughout the program. Each module addresses a specific topic to driver performance, risk, and safety. Students and employers may be eligible for a discounted insurance premium. Each student receives a certificate of completion good for 3 years.
Target Audience: All licensed drivers. fleet drivers, and mature drivers

Description
The Kansas Active Shooter Mitigation (KASM) course teaches active shooter awareness and training to school administrators and businesses. This program provides critical information in a timely manner on what to expect in the event of an active shooter, as well as potential options and considerations to mitigate that threat. This training course is modular and adaptable to address active shooter awareness and mitigation in the workplace.

Receive one-on-one help installing and receiving instruction on the proper use of: infant seats, car seat, booster seats, and seatbelts. Child safety seat fitting stations are located in each troop.

Description
How our car fits us as we age can affect our driving skills in unexpected ways. The CarFit program offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles “fit” them and help keep them driving longer.
The CarFit program also provides information and materials on community-specific resources that could enhance their safety as drivers, and/or increase their mobility in the community.
