Salary: $25.05-$27.41/hr

Location: Topeka/Shawnee County
Position Description:
Accounting functions; prepares statements and reports, researches and resolves discrepancies, maintains ledgers and reconciles statements, and maintains fiscal records. Monitors correct time reporting for management of the grants, specifically eligible activities, enters time and activity, makes sure visa statements meet eligible criteria.
Participates in hiring of and trains, coaches and mentors specialized and clerical personnel; Supervises and assigns, reviews and evaluates work; uses problem solving methods and appropriate tools to improve processes. Will directly supervise an administrative officer who performs a variety of office administrative tasks and explains policy and program decisions to the public, other agencies and officials, who prepares accounting functions, prepares statements and reports, completes research in data discrepancies.
Prepares financial reports, enters and reviews purchases, and vouchers. Enters travel and purchase orders ensuring compliance with multiple federal grants and state revenue sources, including but not limited to some purchases for specific grant capital outlays totally nearly half of a million dollars.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Licensing & Certification: Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, education, sociology or criminology.
Minimum Requirements:
Six months of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit.
