Recruiting and Community Engagement

This unit focuses on:

• Recruitment and retention of uniformed personnel
• Regional Public Resource Officers
  • Each field troop located across the state is assigned a Public Resource Officer (PRO). PROs handle local media inquiries and teach safety programs to schools, organizations, and businesses upon request. These programs include defensive driving, seatbelt safety, Kansas Active Shooter Mitigation (KASM), and other related topics.
