Instructor Developement

This 32-hour course teaches the basic skills necessary to prepare and present knowledge and psychomotor based training in a classroom environment.  This course is best suited for students who have less than two years in course delivery and no formal training in instructional techniques but is open to those of all skill evals.  A high level of student participation is required.  During the week, the student will develop and deliver one capstone presentation and will also be expected to give several short extemporaneous speeches.  Topics include: The learning process – adult learning principles and styles, environments, Systematic design, development and delivery of training, Methods of instruction for teaching both theory and skills, Instructor roles and responsibilities, Facilitation skills, Using training aides effectively.  Physical Requirements: This course is primarily in a classroom setting with no physical requirements.
