KHP 2022-19: Kansas City VIN Inspection Station to Reopen

The Kansas Highway Patrol is excited to announce that the Kansas City VIN Inspection Station located on I-70 will reopen for certain inspections starting on August 1, 2022. This location has previously been closed due to remodeling. This VIN Inspection Station is located at:

Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm

Inspections at this location are limited to the following:

  • Trailers
  • Campers/RV’s
  • Semi-Trailers
  • Boat Trailers
  • Salvage
  • Rebuilt Salvage
  • Assembled Vehicles
  • Homemade Trailers
  • Cab Changes
  • Replacement VINs

Normal out-of-state inspections should be taken to:

Specials hours of operation Monday-Friday 7:30-1:30. Salvage Inspections hours: Monday-Friday 7:30-2:00. Inspections at this location will include: Trailers, Campers/RVs, Semi trailers, Boat trailers, Salvage, Rebuilt salvage, Assembled vehicles, Homemade trailers, Cab changes and Replacement VIN's.
