KHP 2023-02: Patrol Attending 6th Annual Greater KC Veteran Career & Transition Fair

The Kansas Highway Patrol will be attending the 6th Annual Greater Kansas City Veteran Career and Transition Fair on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, from 1:00-4:00 PM. This event will be located at the Overland Park Convention Center on 6000 College Blvd, in Overland Park, Kansas.

This career fair is focused on military personnel who possess coveted skills and are ready to transition into the public and private sector workforces. Approximately 100 companies, local and federal agencies will be attending to hire active service members and veterans based on their experience and military training. There’s no cost for veterans or their family members to attend the Veterans Career Fair and meet with employers.  In addition, several veteran related non-profits will be providing training and assistance.

The Kansas Highway Patrol will be attending the career fair in hopes of recruiting future Troopers for our upcoming academy classes, Condensed Academy Class #67 and Class #68. “The Patrol recognizes the value of military service and has greatly benefitted from those who have and are currently serving. Military personnel understand what it means to dedicate one’s life to serving others, which is one of the reasons we’re excited about attending this career fair.” said Captain Mitch Clark. Patrol personnel in attendance  are willing to have conversations about agency needs and are eager to recruit highly qualified and motivated individuals who would represent the core values and motto of the Kansas Highway Patrol: Service, Courtesy, Protection.
