KHP 2023-24: Update: KHP Seeking Witnesses to Fatality Collision in Cherokee County

The Kansas Highway Patrol has successfully located the vehicle and driver from this fatal collision.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is seeking assistance from the public to identify witnesses to a hit and run fatal collision that occurred on August 19, 2023, at approximately 11:34p.m. This collision occurred on eastbound K-66 at milepost 2.9, on the western edge of the city of Galena in Cherokee County.

The collision involved a pedestrian and a 2017-2018 model of Ford Raptor truck. The truck is believed to be light in color or maroon/red.
