Collegiate Law

The Collegiate Law program offers college students an exciting and unique view into what it takes to become a law enforcement officer, and what a career in the field offers.  Application deadline, April 15.

Cadet Law Academy

Gain real experience as a Kansas law enforcement officer while still in high school at minimal cost to the student.  This program is co-sponsored by the Kansas American Legion and the Kansas Highway Patrol.   Application deadline April 15.

Ride Along Program

Experience the day of a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper from the passenger seat.  This program is intended for those 18 years or older with an interest in a law enforcement career. If you are at least 16 years old, you may be eligible with parental consent and a letter from the school indicating educational need. A simple background check will be conducted and signed waiver collected prior to scheduling your ride along.

Internship Program

This internship program is meant to showcase all aspects of the agency and to give the intern a thorough understanding of what KHP does on a daily basis through hands-on experience and involvement. Available for College students and Department of Defense Skillbridge.
