Position Summary: Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for the Ignition Interlock (IID) program in Kansas and is responsible for responding to customer and IID vendor inquiries.  Ensures complete IID compliance from all approved vendors in Kansas per Kansas Statutes and Regulations.  Assists managers with oversight of the Kansas IID program.

  1. Responsible for ensuring compliance standards are continuously met in accordance to Kansas Administrative Rules and Regulations and statutes. Conducts quality performance reviews in person, remotely etc. as necessary to meet business needs.  Participates in vendor development plans, documents and recommends corrective action plans as directed and approved by chain of command.  Ensures all procedures are adhered to.
  2. Serves as first line of support for IID related customer and vendor inquiries, complaints, etc. Types of communication include but no limited to phone, email and written as necessary to meet business needs.  Provides support to customers, Driver Services staff and other stakeholders as directed by manager.  Develops and administers Quality Assurance plan alongside manager for all IID vendor related activities.  Incumbent works to continuously improve relationships and partnerships with vendors, customers and other stakeholders.  The position has minimal latitude in making decisions affecting use of resources, personnel and organizing workload to achieve agency goals as assigned by manager.
  3. Responsible for maintaining all IID related documentation, correspondence, devices, etc. Incumbent must be able to provide statistical and logistical data as requested.

Performs other duties as required by supervisor to ensure the efficient operations of the program.  Such duties may include participation in problem identification and resolution and assignment of tasks necessary to complete special initiatives as directed by supervisor or other members of management.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Licensing & Certification: Valid Kansas Driver’s License.

Necessary Special Requirements: Two years experience interviewing, investigating, or providing technical assistance to clients, customers, or public.
One year experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program, or organizational unit.
